Katie comes to Osterhout Berger Daley with a diverse background spanning judicial, governmental, and private settings. She has served as a Judicial Law Clerk in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas and has held numerous public service positions at the federal level, including as a General Attorney within the Borrower Defense Group at the US Department of Education, as an Economist for the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, and within the National Park Service. Prior to joining OBD, Katie practiced civil litigation at Strassburger McKenna Gutnick and Gefsky where she gained significant appellate writing experience.
Katie received her bachelor’s degrees in both Economics and English from Shepherd University. She is a graduate of the Thomas R. Kline School of Law of Duquesne University and now teaches at Duquesne Law as an Adjunct Professor. Active in the community, Katie serves as a chapter leader for Gay for Good Pittsburgh and as team captain of the Pittsburgh Puffins Women’s Ice Hockey team. She has held leadership and founding roles in organizations dedicated to building inclusive spaces for women and gender-diverse athletes.
